Kroda: 5 jahre kulturkampf

5 years of culture struggle? More like, 2 hours of folkish black metal, haw haw! This best-of of some Ukrainian one man band comes with a lot of flute, jaw’s harp, a decent production, umpa-dumpa parts, nice melodies and everything else we know and love. Of course, clanking black metal harmonics and blast beats are not far behind. Plus, there’s an “ODINNN!!”/sword sounds intro to one of the songs (how do you spell that in cyrillic, OДИН?) The individual bits and pieces are well done and well-arranged, but new fans to the genre this will probably not create. Maybe in Ukraine? If you can’t get enough of this sort of shit, you might be in for something, though. Distantly reminding of Drudkh, it really ain’t bad.
6.5/10 Slavikings for Bismarck, rally on me!
After going thru that crap, you most likely wanna read something way more interesting. You do, admit it.
